Hundreds of years ago, before the planet stopped spinning, Amaris lived in a golden age of cog civilization.  Mr. Hogs Pogs was on the brink of bringing to life a towering cog golem known as The Prototype. He just lacked one final component: the music of a struggling garage band called Horsechips, whose music somehow had the ability to spin the cogs - a power that would later become known as "The Sound."

When the Prototype awakened, it went on a murderous rampage and destroyed the city of Gwaltin.  In his dying breath, Mr. Hogs Pogs told the band how to stop it - find The Ultimate Tuh!  And so Horsechips set out on an epic adventure to right their own wrongs and save Amaris from total obliteration.
